What with the original, SoD and RTCW, I've had my fill of Wolfenstein. If there's not something incredibly special about this game theres no chance of me picking it up.
Incidentally, I won Spear of Destiny in a competition many years ago. Hour upon hour upon hour of cyan bricks. Mein Leiben!

Quake 4 was developed by Raven and iD, which is why I think I'll like the new Wolfy.

It's Wolfenstein, and Wolf3D was my first violent video game. I'm pretty much obligated to give the new one a look.

Quake 4 was a solid game, so I'll probably be getting this.
Didn't care much for Jedi Outcast though. Both times that I tried to play it, I ended up getting lost in one of the levels - like the fucking days in Doom or Hexen where you'd end up wandering around emptied rooms. Plus it lacked all the cheesy live-action cutscenes that Jedi Knight had.
SalaciousCrumb on 14/8/2008 at 09:41
You are right, I loved those cutscenes. They added some movie feel to the game and sometimes I had nearly as much fun with these little cutscene bits as with the actual movies.
Another thing was...well Nar Shadda seemed bigger in the first Jedi Knight than in Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast.
But back to topic. A Wolfenstein without Mecha Hitler? That is dull. Why not go over the top with cartoon graphics like in Team Fortress 2 and include all Nazi leaders as cheesy villains?

Would you say Return to Castle Wolfenstein was dull because it didn't have Mecha Hitler? I mean come on. RtCW was great. It didn't need Hitler.
It's obvious they have sequels in mind, though we'll see how well this new one turns out.
