Newbie Journals are currently (or were recently) all the rage over on the Shock1+2 forums. Sypha Nadon has contributed greatly by going through Shock 2 and recounting each step of his journey. This makes refreshing and exciting reading. It's easy to derive a certain vicarious pleasure from reading what Sypha and others have written in their diaries (Naartjie has made some other great contributions) and is the closest I have come to that feeling of playing the game for the first time.
So, any DX newbies want to start their own Newbie's journal? The important points to remember are:
a) this must be your first time through the game.
b) write down all your experiences after each playing session to ensure they are still fresh.
Hope this inspires someone to write one...

They should be posted to hints area so as not to spoil it for those who want general info but no specifics.I'm starting the full game for first time (just past 747 area) and I wouldn't want to see a journal in this area.

I finally bought Deus Ex, and having enjoyed the SS2 newbie journals, a DEx journal seems like a good idea. I don't think I'll have much to say about the Liberty Island mission, though, since I played through the demo several times. I'll finish that mission, give a recap of it, and then start journalling in earnest.
