You don't need to jump at that place at all. Stand up and walk close up to the window. Once Garrett steps on the window-sill, then crouch and move further. You can also gain the momentum with strafe+run while being crouched, then Garrett will have a chance to push himself into the window right away (which is shown in the video). But the first method is more reliable.

move into the window as far as you can while standing (using run forward, not walk or creep), crouch while still going forward, and you should go through.

Thank you all so much! I got through finally. That certainly was much harder than it needed to be :D

It's all part of the training, getting you prepared to approach certain tight spots in unusual ways and using key combos or sequences. If you could feel what it would physically be like to move your armored, cloaked, loaded-up, body through that window, it might be more intuitive, but it wouldn't be easy. Although these types of pathways are not common, they are present in a few more missions, but usually optional. :)

Wait, Garrett is armored ?_?

we can safely assume he wears some sort of leather armor, as he is able to take an arrow or two and still stand run.
