I've been discovering newsky and know a little about it.
As far as i understand i need texture for one or more of its parts (sky, clouds, distant art)
Haven't found any ready-made textures for it though. Are there any available somewhere?
Or at least to use as an example as to know what kind of textures i need.

Uh, the ones that the original missions use?

texture#1 is supposed to be the image filename. '47' is a strange choice.
texture#2 is optional. The distant art can alternate between 2 textures, but that's no longer necessary with NewDark's large texture support.
Quite a lot of those values look odd. If they work, they work, but you should look at the original missions to see what values they use. Horizon dip angle is relative to straight up, so 40 isn't much good.

JPG is not a supported file format so you'll need to convert the distant art to PNG or DDS.
Horizon dip angle I usually set to 180 which is the bottom of the sky sphere. I often use very large numbers for the atmosphere and earth radius values, like 1000 or more. Like R Soul I would encourage you to look at the settings in an OM or a FM whose sky you like.

I suggest you (everyone, not just you) get away from having a thread for all your questions. That mucks up the search engine's use of titles for searching. Much better to post each distinct question as its own topic. Then when people try to use the search engine to see if anyone already asked and resolved an issue, the likelihood of them finding a match will be higher.

Thanks! I'll give that a go.
While that's happening I'm getting crashes in dromed whenever i look over the city.
That's when theres million of objects on the screen.
Is this a common problem? Is dromed.exe not getting enough memory?

I don't have a problem doing that, I actually started out that way but I was afraid of upseting people with spam.
Since I'm building my fm at a fast pace i have a lot of questions.
I can do that but the Editor guild forum will get spammed with 1-3 questions per day for some time.
Should I do it?

It's fine by me, as long as you're legit stuck and have tried searching for the answers already. Many, many newbie questions have been answered here over the last 15 years, although in some ways NewDark reset the clock to 2012 for certain things.
As for your crashes, you mean when flying around in game mode? Or just when pointing the camera view in the editor over the city? Also, please confirm what version you're using, I assume the latest (1.22). I very rarely get crashes from complexity any more so it may be a sign of problems with your terrain, or a bad object coming into view. A crash log might help someone who is good at analyzing that determine if you're running out of video memory or something else is going on.

1.22 and the crash happens while in editor.
(Next question will have a separate thread)
