I've installed Dromed 1.19 and Thief Gold with TFIX. Now I want to edit and make some missions, but in DromEd's 2d windows I simply can't see other objects and brushes, JUST the currently selected one. (I also see some objects around, but some of them only appear in the 3d window. It's a bit annoying, for example I create a guard, I see it in the 2d window, but when I create another one, I simply lost track of him, since I only see the latest one. Any ideas?)

Sorry for "bumping", but have you got any idea for this problem?

I'm not certain exactly what you mean. A picture (or two) would help. Also, post your dromed.log and anything useful that monolog.txt might have to say.
sNeaksieGarrett on 13/1/2013 at 18:30
Also, you're confusing me ticky. You say "dromed 1.19" which would be for thief 2, but then you mention thief gold. If you're installing tfix to thief gold and using a newer patched version of dromed (which I guess would be called Dromed 1.38?) then I suggest posting your question into the TFix thread itself instead of in here.

I am using 1.19 for Thief Gold since I read that it's compatible. Here's a screen - my main problem is that I can see the brushes in TOP view, only in 3d view. I can only see the actual (selected) brush. When I try to select one, I am also "blind", I can't see what to select.
Here's a screen:

What you are explaining sounds like a weird bug, but that screenshot looks fine to me. I don't see anything wrong? The objects and brushes are being shown in that screenshot. As for the selected brush in 3d view, that's normal unless you right click in 3d view and say "all brushes + wireframe," then it will show them all. I'm not sure if that's what you meant though, sorry.
R Soul on 15/1/2013 at 21:46
It's best not to resize Dromed screenshots when you have a problem with the 2d views - it softens things and makes it harder to see what's what.
It could be that brush shading is turned on (ctrl 7 and ctrl 8 to toggle) but without a clear screenshot I can't confirm or rule out my idea.

This happened to me as well when working with the new DromEd for T2. It was caused by rendering the preview window in hardware mode. Turning hardware rendering off solved the problem. I haven't been able to figure out why hardware rendering doesn't work properly though. There might be something wrong with my 1.19 configuration.
jtr7 reported a similar problem a while ago and turning off hardware rendering seemed to do the trick for him as well IIRC.

I've turned off d3d in cam_ext.cfg, unfortunately for Thief itself as well, but at least now it works. Thanks! Weird. It's time to purchase a graphics card, also:)
