Yes, I saw something in Renderer about a forced shadow and some settings. That would be damn good if it would work on AIs as well.

No, this Static Shadow was not in 1.18, only Runtime Shadow.

Correcting myself: the Shadow with a value is enough, the Force Static Shadow is not necessary, does nothing.
