Oh kewl. Good thing you figured that out. So I guess we have all 3 games running now, with no hitches documented yet besides the nitpicking on the item shop sound lag... Who was that again? :p
Where's the SS2 love, BTW? (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=140088) That thread is barren, just about. :erg:
I think he actually said the sound lag is now gone (it used to happen in the original version). So another improvement!

Upon playing Mission X for a little while I have noticed a few hickups.
1) Some objects turn invisible or are missing parts of textures in the inventory. One of the loot bracelets was invisible when hanging inside a locker, and continued to be invisible in the inventory. Similarly, the compass is missing parts in the inventory.
2) The biggest and most reliable bug however was the light gem. If bright red, sometimes the entire gem would turn black. The indicator to the right was still red, but the rest of the gem was pitch black. This has happened in multiple areas and seems to occur more often if crouching. Has anyone else seen this?

I'm having issues with the videos not playing. Might be my system.
For me Darkloader worked fine.
I decided to try Zontik's King's Story FM since it made modern systems run like a dog and Holy Joe Pesci!

WOW. After a restart of Thief 2, I'm getting a straight run of 60 fps!!!

The whole Can Can cutscene never dropped below 35 fps which for me is brilliant.
With fraps running however it goes to 24.

I posted this in the editor guild, but thought I'd put it here too, just because I can. It's a little something I managed to put together tonight, using high-quality textures. I don't have any of the new lighting effects on it yet though.

I thought I remembered something from the troubleshooting doc about invisible object textures ... yep! Do you have an ATI/AMD video card?
Quote:
Problem:
Some object textures are invisible (on some ATI/AMD video cards).
Cause:
Adaptive multi-sample anti-aliasing.
Solutions:
* Go into Catalyst Control Center and set "Anti-Aliasing Mode" to
any setting that is NOT "Adaptive Multi-sample AA".
* Disable multi-sampling ("multisampletype").

It's much better to get the DX redist from microsoft's website directly; you shouldn't necessarily trust random DLLs on the internet.
