I see under the Build dialog that the
5-/9-point Center Weight can now have an arbitrary value.
Eh? NewDark DromEd always had that.

One thing I've always wished for is a revamped AI patrol placement. Do a click-click-click-click-click-click-click to make the route and, BAM! It's done.
I often wonder if there has been away to do something similar to this already in dromed. I can't imagine by thief2 the devs didn't make a key combo or whatnot. I guess it would have been in the official docs. Maybe it's hidden in newdark, a special clone to where links auto enumerate correctly. Sorry I'm fantasizing. ..

If you shift+click two TrolPts to make a multibrush, you can go to Tools->Link Group AIPatrol, to link them. Unless you're using the Newest beta of DromEd Basic, in which case it's Tools->Quick Link->AI Patrol. Then you can just shift-click the next TrolPt, and repeat until you're heart is content.

I knew all that LSD I dropped in the 60's would catch up to me. :p

It all depends on the mission, I suppose. In some cases, the greater contrast between light and shadow could be more desirable.
Ah, but that's the thing: you can do that without relying on the animlight cutoff, instead using the light radius and inner radius to control the limit and dropoff. This change just makes animlights behave more like static lights, so if you want the harsher edges you can still do it by not setting an inner radius, and setting the outer radius to something inside the radius at which the light fades to zero.
I should probably update the (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=140345) light settings explanation and include some new examples and graphs.

On patrol route creation, I have a Link Patrol on the top of my Dromed window so it's not buried in any menu (same with Link CD, Link Contains and Link DA). Those shortcuts are one of the biggest time savers I've found. Then to make a new patrol, I figure out how many TrolPts I need, make them in a rough little circle, link them all quickly and then move them one by one where they need to be, going in order around the circle.

I would love to have a copy of that menu.cfg, ol' buddy. [EMAIL="terrydelaney@outlook.com]Email[/EMAIL] Or just paste the pertinent stuff in a post.
I do something similar. In the map, I lay down all the patrol pts in a rough shape of the route in a small space near the AI. Link them, and then spread them around the pathways. But I
reeaaaallllyyy hate having to bring down that menu, etc for each point.

If you were really crazy, you could create keyboard shortcuts for linking group.

Code:
menu_edit_7 Link C&D:link_group controldevice
menu_edit_8 Link Contains:link_group contains
menu_edit_9 Link Patrol:link_group aipatrol
menu_edit_10 Link DA:link_group detailattachement
It's so convenient to just click, Shift-click and then click one of those to link two objects. If you already have entries above 6, just adjust the numbers on those accordingly.

Thanks, m'man. Never heard of Link DA.
@AM16: I'm a heavy keyboard shortcut disciple, but have no idea on how to create one. Last time I tried, I trashed the whole config.
