Currently playing Thief Gold with HDMod. Afterwards will play Dark Project with NecroAge, and wanted to be able to "import" my current bloom, anti aliasing etc settings from TG to DP. Would the following work?
Install DP and TFix it.
Copy the cam.cfg and cam_ext.cfg files from TG into DP.
Or should I manually set up the ingame options in DP first, and then import only cam_ext.cfg?
Or is this just not a good idea since TG and DP use different versions of both cfg files, and so they cannot be used interchangeably in this way?

This is more a question for voodoo47, but in both cases it's just NewDark, so I can't imagine why you couldn't just copy over both cfg files without problems.

I hope you are right, as it would be much easier this way than having to set it all up manually, and without the tool that comes with the HDMod.
But I am sure I have seen different options in the SS2 config files than in the TG version, which is why I wonder whether they can just be exchanged between any NDed game.
For instance in TG I couldn't seem to find any multisampling options, which I am sure I remember being in the SS2 cfg.

it shouldn't be necessary to copy cam.cfg, and copying cam_ext.cfg should be ok. just using the hdmod config tool again should also work, I think.

I gave just copying cam_ext over a try, and it appears to work. Had the bloom straight away.
Also copying over the entire "setting_files" folder (which contains the HDMod graphics tweaker tool), seems to enable the tool to be used in the new DP install without issue. Although didn't go so far as to try adjusting the water settings as I gather that calls another mod altogether.
Thanks for the replies, that's my issue answered.
