With the the realease of NewDark there is a huge new possoblity for FMs. So what´s the newest? Was there any FM in 2014? What´s the best with NewDark?

As far as what's best about NewDark, I enjoy how smooth it runs on newer systems, plus the new lighting. It just looks much better. And I could never record my playthroughs before, not a problem now. If you mean how it's better in Dromed, I couldn't tell you.

There are a lot of minor tweaks that just make it more user friendly (such as automatically detecting and filling in an object name/number when the number/name is typed into a field), and it is more likely to give you a monolog error and let you figure it out than just crashing on you.

I think it's actually a good question, what is the best NewDark FM? I think there is a general consensus about what are the old classics, like Mission X, T2X, Calendra's Legacy, 7th Crystal and so on. But I think it has never been really discussed what are the new classics, the new "Must Play" FMs, if you will.
I haven't played too many NewDark FMs yet, as I'm still too deep in those old classics :D but of those I have played, I would say the best is Drymian Codex by Yandros, Random Taffer and Tannar.

Also, seeing as NewDark isn't more than a couple of years old, the new "classic" missions are maybe still to come. Most top shelf missions can take several years to complete. I haven't played Drymian Codex, but I know of a few upcoming releases that might be looked at as all-time bests in say 10 years time. I especially think of the new Rocksbourg missions or Death's Cold Embrace.

the best part of newdark for me is being able to climb things way easyer,but then the map designer needs to be extra carefull not to make it to easy to get on map to skip areas

Concerning the best newdark FM I have a friend who has newdark installed but has only played 2 newdark FM. That would be Invasion and Island of sorrow. He told me that they are "nice" but nothing more. Has anyone tried these?

Lighting and tech improvements don't hold a candle to a good story line and a gritty atmosphere. Whether played under Old or New, most of the old classics will still reign supreme.
