I was browsing the Skyrim nexus today for the latest Skyrim mods and I noticed that the site was advertising that it now supports mods for all PC games. Their motto was "If you can mod it, we'll host it!"
Now, due to the recent complaints about not having an up to date site for downloading new Thief missions, it occurred to me that it might not be a bad place to host Thief FMs and other files like the Enhancement Pack.
Not surprisingly, there is not yet a category for Thief. So I submitted a suggestion for a Thief 2: The Metal Age and am in the process of uploading Cell 6 as a test.
I guess we'll see how it goes.

Thief 2: The Metal Age now a game category on the nexus. Cell 6 available for download!(

Edit: You must register for a Nexus account before you can download anything. (It's free)

And you'll let us know?
It would be very handy to have somewhere really accessible for anyone to upload a mission to be instantly available.

Nice idea, Rob! And I suspect it would garner new members for us here too.

Of course. Cell 6 is uploaded, but it won't be available until they approve Thief 2 as a game category on the site. I can't imagine why they wouldn't.
I'll probably upload all my other fan missions to it once it's been approved.

I've always wondered why no one uses ModDB. There's already a page for (
http://www.moddb.com/games/thief-ii-the-metal-age) Thief 2, but it only lists a few of the actual game modifications (NewDark patch, Enhancement Pack, Ultimate Difficulty Mod, etc.). ModDB is the most widely-known game mod site--is there any reason not to upload FMs there?

What a great suggestion.
Lately I've been spending more time on nexusmods.com modding Skyrim than I have been spending here at TTLG Forums. Although Thief Fan Mission Forum remains my one and only home page for my web browser!

That actually crossed my mind while I was making this thread. I've gotten several Mount & Blade mods from there over the years. Good suggestion. I know they're less strict than the nexus too.
I certainly don't see why we couldn't use that too. The more, the merrier, right?

Great idea! I've used Nexus extensively for other games (Skryim especially), and Thief has a large, accomplished and passionate enough modding community to rival any game out there.

Updated first post with Thief 2 Nexus link!

Nice! But I don't see Cell 6, or any other files, available for download.
