If you kept your Thief CDs packed away in a cupboard and only used them once a blue moon when your install gets corrupted and you need to reinstall - as I do - then you wouldn't be wearing them out and breaking them...

NV - This may be a silly question but how does one play the game (or FMs) without the CD in the drive?

You need the bow upgrade...:ebil:

In the Alarus Extension, there is an item that reveals a bonus objective when you "use" it. It will allow you to make ONE archival copy of your game discs. You must not share these with anybody else, or use them in more than one computer. If you do, the City Watch will randomly spawn and shout threats at you. Since the spawning is random, there is no telling when, if ever, it will occur.:ebil:

It looks cracked, definitely - I share your pain unreal_taffer :(
You can buy a Thief collection that does not need dvd in drive easily (and cheap) here, maybe you can still make an exposition of these original discs and buy some of this cheap stuff to cover your need of a running game? :)

At 259 Kc it's around 13 USD (Only the installer is partially Czech, the game is in English). I'm quite sure there is such compilation available elsewhere, isn't it?

You have to do what unreal_taffer did, only not so literally.

Thanks ZB, I understand now. Let's pretend I didn't ask the question. ;)
