Thanks for answering again. Yes that was the way I got out of there. Before that I found a key in the water that unlocked and raised the coffin where I got the scroll. I found a button that I pushed that was a secret in one corner. That was it. What did you use on the statue that corresponds with the door? corey.

[Folks]
Nobody else has posted about this, so I must be the only one who didn't get it...
In Pride, I come to a long corridor lined with deadly builder's children. At the other end is a throne; behind the throne is a red button.
I ran up this corridor, dodging children as necessary, behind the throne, and pushed the red button; I then ran back out, kiddies nipping at my heels, and into the trap room with the three levers. I swerved to flip one of the levers back, which closed and locked the doors, trapping the kids inside.
Then I ran down the corridor that had been shooting skulls at me, but they were turned off this time. But when I got out to the stairway again, there was no bridge leading to the switch -- which is what I had expected there would be.
So are there other buttons I have to push? Or is it a timed event that's so tight, I don't even have time to shut the doors behind me? If so, I don't see how I can make it anyway, since the time it took me to close the doors was no longer than it would have taken to run from where I first saw there was no bridge to the point where the bridge begins... so even if I saw the bridge then, it would have been retracting and would have been gone by the time I got to it.
So I figure I'm missing something basic... any clues?
Thanks,
Dafydd
P.S. I have never before had to get this much help in a single mission pack. I'm not happy about it.

coreyb2:
Did you end up in a grave with zombies walking around it? As I recall they key was in that grave. I THINK it was a skull, but I'm not sure now.
Dafydd:
Well, what I did was to lure the kiddies to a nice dark shadow near the door and blackjack them. Then I shot the 'Karras' clone. After I pushed the button, I teleported back to the place with the switch and the bridge was extended. Be careful, though. I found I wasn't alone.
Yeah, these missions are frustrating. Reminded me of JIS's stuff. Not really my cup of tea.

Thanks. That's where I ran like hell, passed the haunt standing in the doorway
and got out of there:eek: Which means I have to go back and start over.:p
Lightningline on Fragments:
With your back to the drain, dive down 1 level and swim forward to the wall. Turn around and the switch is on the last post on the outer side right.
Dafydd -
the button behind the throne moves a small statue out in the hallway just before you entered that room. Slash the banner behind where it was and you'll see a small room with a switch in it. That switch will teleport you back out to the sitting area by the stairs and also turn off the field over the switch out there. I didn't bother trying to get rid of any of the critters in that room. Just ran for the button, ran back to the other switch and got teleported. No problem!
Finally completed this mission. At times I was annoyed, flustrated and just plain stumped, but I've got say overall, I REALLY enjoyed this mission!!!
My favorite was the room with all the buttons & switches. I laughed the whole time I was in that room. It seemed that everytime I turned around there was another button or switch I had missed....or maybe it really wasn't there the first time...
Anyhow...kudos to the author of this one! Much fun!:thumb:

[Nightwalker]
Thanks; it worked!
Ah, those tormentors are just haunts in drag. I snuck down and plugged him with eight or nine arrows... then when he got close enough, I charged him with my sword. Only took two or three fast sideways hits to terminate the tormentor  .
Okay, down the rabbit hole....
