I hope I am posting in the right place-seems I can't even figure out how to post new message! If this is in the wrong place I am sorry. I desperately need help getting the scrolls to finish this level. The only scroll I can seem to retrieve is "patience". All the other locks (lock on ladder in discretion, box in skill, lock in courage) I cannot open. I have moved 4 statues and found treasure. Also, how to enter code?? Nothing seems to correspond to the numbers on the flipper. I can turn the dial by looking at it and pressing space, but never know which number I will get. If I change angle, I get different number. Please help! Thanks

How did I keep missing that......Its good to hear that even you had to take your time through a few spots on this mission though... Thanks again for your help.

Hello!
Can anyone explain me about the code
2048
in 4th level ?
Let look through scrolls:
1. Never without three - (maybe 3)
2. Everything begins and ends with me ( 0 )
3. x in system: x-2y=4 , 2y+x=2 (of cource 3)
4. Number of hearts of dragon (4)
The code may be the combination of 3 , 0 , 3 , 4, for example 3043, why 2048
Thank you.

As I explained earlier on, the Patience clue is not very good.
When I was editing text, I didn't know what it related to and I didn't catch it later on, as I was a bit rushed when I was going through the mission checking the edited texts. "Never without three" refers to the saying "Things come in threes". I honestly don't know what a good wording would be but there's no sense in worrying about it now unless an update is released. Sorry about that.
The rest make sense, though.
You don't use the math equation one. There's another clue in a book that gives you a hint as to which numbers to use. It says "P S C I…", which stands for Patience, Skill, Courage, Intelligence. The "Intelligence" number is on the wall above the alcove with the number pad in it.
Thank you Nightwalker.
Excuse me for some hysterical words in my last message (I've already edited it).
English is not my native language, especially english that is used in Thief, and sometimes It's to hard to catch whole sence of some scroll. That's why some puzzles with discrepancy can shock.

There was nothing wrong with your original post at all. I understand that it must be difficult to play these missions sometimes when English is not your native language. They're hard enough to figure out when it is! LOL! As I said, that one clue is not good anyway, which makes it even harder. :)

Just started the 4th level and right off the bat I have been spending alot of time looking for the secret. I triped that first secret
in the fireplace
but can't find where it is. Am I supposed to.
Thanks

pale, it's really hard to spot what some of the secrets are in this one. The fire in the fireplace
made a pair of spectacles appear on a table nearby. They work like a key on something else.
