This is sad. I got through the training rooms and ended the level, but got 0/5 secrets and 0.00 in loot.

I'm missing something big, and it must have something to do with buttons that don't seem to accomplish anything. Is all the 6000 loot in one spot?

The loot is all tied up in two items, Clock. [SPOILER] It IS associated with the buttons. Once you have pushed them all, you can get the green scroll in the Skill room. That's worth 1000g. and the Treasure, which is a book, is worth 5000g. Did you get the objective to find it? To find it, I think you need to find all the secrets. [/SPOILER]

I'm nowhere near finished as it turns out. How many buttons are there to push? I never did go back to the beginning where the kitchen was. So the objective to find the treasure never showed up. How do you know when you've found everything? There was a button in one room I failed to see, which brings out a different button in the central area[SPOILER]under the table, I think[/SPOILER] and I don't know what that one does.

That button makes [SPOILER] a button appear on the floor in the Patience section (the one with all the chests that you have to find keys for). I think there are 4 altogether. The other loot is associated with the kitchen hint. To get the objective, you have to read a note beside the bed in the little alcove off of the sitting room. [/SPOILER]

I don't think I'm finished with the training room yet. I found the third button (excluding the buttons under the statues) and I guess I need to press a fourth in order to be able to pick up the loot in "Patience".

Is this right? With the fourth button I can now access the prize in the "Skill" room and progress to the common room/kitchen section?

Also, I went through the motions in the kitchen and common room (kinda a dry run if you will) and didn't experience too much difficulty leading to the $5000 book. But I didn't come across any crazy zombie who's torso is a key to anything, as a few of the messages above allude to. There are 2 cash boxes in the kitchen I couldn't open, one of them is too remote under the counter to reach.

That sounds right, as far as I can recall. I guess you can avoid some of the "fuss" in the kitchen. I just never tried. :)

I can't find the fourth button. I hope it's not in "Courage" because the door leading to it won't transport me there anymore.

Did anyone get all 5 secrets?

Stuck in the quest

I've found the mask, gotten by the apes and roped up to the crypt. I can't open any of the locked doors with the lockpicks, and I haven't found any keys. Help please

I got all the secrets the second time through but only with some hints from Lady Jo. I'm afraid that [SPOILER] one of the buttons IS in Courage so you'll have to restart if you want to get the scroll. When I announced the release (not in this thread, another one) I mentioned a couple of spots that were "no return" and that is one of them. I hit the same problem when I was checking texts. Once you leave Courage, that's it. You can't get back in. [/SPOILER]

The secrets in this one are:

[SPOILER] 1. The fireplace logs in the sitting room which produce a pair of spectacles on the table nearby.
2. There's a mushroom in the tunnel to the test room that you can frob to produce another mushroom that you can pick. I'm not sure what it's used for, though.
3. The button in Courage that gets you a clue scroll.
4. In the kitchen, use a fish from the freezer to unlock a box under one counter and take the zombie part from it and use it to unlock another box. Inside that box, is another zombie bit that unlocks a lockbox on the wall near the fireplace. Frob the dagger that appears to get the secret.
5. The lever behind the kitchen fire that makes the book appear in the sitting room.[/SPOILER]
