This mission alone (I assume you're talking about Fragments, right?) makes the whole campaign well deserve to be called "Nightmares". No idea if it encourages you :)

This button you seek is:
stand in front of the hatch and turn around and dive. The button is on a pillar to your right I think nearly at the bottom
