[Folks]
All right, I got stuck once and posted for help, but I found the answer before anyone responded, so I just deleted my post. Let's see if the magic works again!
In the first mission, Hard Waking. I went through the whole blue door scenario, got the red key, went into the red-key room, bolted past the Hammerites into the teleporter in the upside-down room, went through the double-doors out in the courtyard (the others door just appears to lead to a pair of Hammerites in an empty room), down the funny corridor, and into the sideways room. I opened the door there and got into the next room, where there is a key on something.
That key unlocked the double glass doors back in the entry hall; I went into the only frobbable door there and read the book... so I had to reload.
(You will all be shocked, shocked, to read that I'm not working on a ghost  ! But I am working so far on a no-damage-dealt game, and I want to keep that... so after the above incident, I copied down the clue from the book but reloaded so I wouldn't have to kill the spawning Mechanist.)
But now what do I do? I can't open the locked door in the second room past the funny corridor: no keys fit it, and I can't get high enough to try my lockpicks, even standing on the table (I couldn't get onto the end of the bed). Inside the glass doors, there are two doors... but one isn't frobbable and the other just leads to the book.
Stumped. If the clue should tell me something, I ain't gettin' it!
Edit: Hah, worked again! I knew if I posted here, I would figure out the problem before anybody responded. That's how the magic works :weird: .
I discovered that you do have to look in the book, but you don't have to kill the spawning Mechanist... you can just outrun him into the funny (dark) corridor, and he won't follow!
All right, proceeding again....
Thanks,
Dafydd

So I do the floating islands, get the 'hand' and now what?
(I did get the goodies under the tomb, and poped out of wall)
I tried going back to the begining, it said you would return here
between missions, well I think it implied that?
How to proceed to next mission to get the 'rosary'?
Thanks for pointers!
Nightwalker on 22/3/2004 at 00:56
You should have the Rosary already. That's why the mission isn't ending.
It's in the Forbidden zone, which is the area with all the little crypts with the fast opening doors, before you go through the double, red-lit doors that you opened with the torch holder. You must have missed some of the rooms there because the Rosary isn't hidden.
Thanks Stefan_Key. If it had been a spider I'd have been a goner!
Can't believe how obvious it was and that I missed it. I was looking for a tiny, tiny button.

I give up, I'm in the water trying to open the drain and can't find the
switch, button or whatever to do this. Yes, I read the post clues and
still can't find it. What am I looking for to activate the DRAIN? Please share
your information. Thanks.

Okay, I need some help again.:erg:
I'm still in Fragments, in the area with four rooms. Two of the rooms have equipment and two are living quarters. I've read the book. Frobbed all the masks above the doors, in and out. Finally knocked out everyone so I could have run of the place. Took all the equipment, moved all the boxes, except the one which I couldn't frob.
Please, please don't tell me I have to stack boxes to get out of here!
Little_Dragon on 22/3/2004 at 03:16
No, crate-stacking isn't required, although it sounds like I went through the same process of elimination as you.
In the lava room, look up.
Little_Dragon - you're a lifesaver. I must have frobbed too many times or something. I went back and did as you said and saw nothing special. Went back to an earlier save and frobbed a few and voila.....
Thanks again!

coreyb2: Sorry, I don't have a savegame, so I can't be 100% sure, but I believe the button is
from the 'drain'-3 squares straight, one square to the right, one or two down. It's hard to see, even with Nightwalker's screenshots as a guide I almost missed it.
Hope that helps.:)

coreyb2, check your email. I sent you the screenshots that Lady Jo sent to help me when I couldn't find the button. I hope it helps.
