this is the company that develop the tools for the crystal dynamic engine, thats being used for thief 4 and dues ex 3 does anyone know anything about them apart from they're dutch.
So if your expecting to be able to mod the games then this is probably what you will have to deal with. Not knowing who actually developed the engine and tools to make modding possible.

Were they the lowest bidder or what?

But you know that the devs in EM are Canadian. If they're English-speaking, they wouldn't pick an engine that they themselves can't understand, and especially if they're French-speaking, the stereotype states that anyone who speaks French can barely speak anything else. ;)
That's not a fact, it's just something that I've heard.

if you go to the crystal dynamics site they say they did the tomb raider games, the same engine thats being used for dx3 and thief 4, if you go to the nixxes software site they say they made the tools for the tomb raider games (editor and programming software).
Nowhere on either site is there a mention of an actual game engine, game engines usually get given a name, like the dark project engine for thief 1, 2 and system shock 2, unreal 2.5 for thief 3.
What am basically saying is that the crystal dynamics engine is a xbox 360 engine, while nixxes software port the crystal dynamics data into their engine which runs on the pc.

That's what I was wondering. Anyway, many of the graphical stuff and other programming terms and code don't probably have translations in Dutch. If they'd even try to program in Dutch, they probably couldn't understand even their own code afterwards. :)
