Even though Rage may suck as a MP game - have to say I found this news very disappointing. I NEVER would have thought Carmack would turn his back on the PC Community like this.
Let's face it - the dude was there from day one (with a lot of the coding that makes MP online much better than consoles) and then for HIM to say this? :tsktsk:
Hell, COD4 at base still basically runs on top of his Quake 3 coding I believe....

No, I'm pretty sure I'm in a "Do I spend my $50 on this game that I'll enjoy, regardless of what the fuck anyone else thinks of it, or do I blow it on some other game that I won't enjoy at all" situation. I wouldn't buy rotten apples for 120% of the price since I'd be getting nothing of value from it, but I'll happily buy MW2 for the price of a normal new PC release since it's something I want to play and the recent ass-chafing of John and Nancy Gamer (who are apparently taking a break from calling each other "fagots" in order to see who can yell louder about IW's total contempt for their hobby) doesn't really make any difference to the value I'd get from it, since I'd rather punch myself in the prostate than play a CoD title online.
Anyway, if people like oranges for some godforsaken reason and they decide to say so I'm not going to act like they're assholes for not supporting the apple industry. Now those jackoffs who eat seedless grapes, well, that's another story. Seeds are 99% of the value of a grape, for god's sake.

Well, you're pretty wrong then, or you're talking about a different game.
Modern Warfare 2 is $60 US on all platforms - thus his 120% jibe.
Thus, if you buy it, you'll be buying it at the typical price of a next gen console game, not a pc game.
And that's if you're luck an live in the states.
