I certainly hope that they will show us something interesting (screenshot, concept art, detailed info) instead of a teaser with only THIEF 4 written in some fancy way. ;)

THE CURRENT TIME IN MONTRÉAL.Still a ways to go, if Midnight's even the time they are shooting for. They could wait until all the timezones are in Monday.
Six hours from now, their time. 4 AM for the whole world to be in Monday (unless I screwed that up).:p

No, this is the fun part. They'll release a short teaser with thousands of flashing images and then it's our job to meticulously sift through all of the frames for months and analyse every single one until the community is certain that it's a prequel.

I wouldn't mind Thief 4 taking place after TDP but before TMA...

Like an official, commercial T2X?

No, although T2X was brilliant and I liked the idea of playing a character different than Garrett and in a storyline parallell to the T2 plot. :thumb:
But for T4, I want to get it on with Garrett... all the way... :cheeky::cheeky:

I'm trying to explain that if you mush together film, video games, and literature, there will be so many reiterations of the same concept that your head will explode.
I don't follow you. James Bond is brutal. Have you actually read bits of Fleming's novels? I'm not talking about the abysmal Brosnan fluff.
...
Correct I confused you with flash. also correct that I mentioned 47, Payne. I got it all mixed up in my T4 excitement... but that doesn't change my POV. Arguing with you seems pointless either cause when you get answers like "No he isn't", responses bare of arguments, one should know discussion isn't possible any longer...
Maybe you enlighten me first :
while your 5 books aren't a "shit load", my 3 movies ARE a "shit load"??? Seems like valid arguing (here in bizarro world)... lets move on... James Bond an antihero -OK, whats a hero then if JB is not one? Further: Beeing brutal does not mean beeing cold, JB is passionate not cold. You obviously don't know, what you are talking about, a bit of namedropping doesn't redeem you from logical arguments. I showed why Max Payne for me is stereotype, you just keep saying "47 is too" well then show me why he is equally stereotype. But awwwww, that will be hard since you have been talking about things you don't know again --> because 47's sadism (!) prevented you buying/playing it - but oh my, keep talking about things you not even played. (lemme guess, you just don't bought it but played it at your friend's...)
but here you go: Garrett/47:
both trained from their childhood to do what they do
both operating in secret
both operating alone
both lack any unnecessary social contacts
both are constantly hunted
both work for money as primary goal and motivation
both can easily be overwhelmed once their camouflaging drops
both use tools
etc.
---
but I see: there are no connections between Garrett and 47, they are so completely different that even the slightest comparison is straight away hilarious.

I feel internally embarrassed for so eagerly anticipating the announcement of the development of a game. I mean, it will probably be at least 18 months or more before the game will actually be released, so I'm just anticipating its announcement. :joke:
How silly is that? /me glances at calendar and clock. *sigh*
And after all this, we'll probably get little more than a short teaser trailer and a few sentences of vague information. :cheeky:
