I'm sure that the Eidos forums will bear most of the initial brunt. That'll buy us some time, but I don't know how long this baby will hold.

So that was "about 9 hours ago" according to twitter with "less than 24 hours to go" then...
so I'm gonna go with Noon eastern time for when they will announce.
and it will probably just be a teaser trailer like Deus Ex 3 has

That would be great, but by comparison, Deus Ex 3's trailer didn't come out until 6 months
after the announcement of the game. :(

Hey guys, what do you think if Thief 4 had a weight/cumbersome system?
I mean, weapons/equipment/loot all have weight/encumbrance values. The more Garrett carries, the more he is penalized in terms of speed, noise, climbing speed, jumping distance, stealth.
It would mean Garrett would have to make some hard choices in terms of what to bring on a job, or what to drop/leave behind....or would have to be ready to adjust tactics as he continues to collect goodies throughout a mission.
Of course, for those who like the easy realism of infinite carry capacity, Eidos could make the weight system a setup option.

I wonder, will they make the announcement at 12:01 local time or will they drag it out 'til normal people get up? Either way I think an all night vigil is in order!:D

It would destroy the grab-everything-possible, 100% loot, aspects and the exploration that goes with it, but of course we think about that when we just keep frobbing things, especially if they aren't small items. I think a limitation at a loadout store would be one way to, not only get back to the roots, but make up for gear encumbrance.

which leaves like 14 hours left... so id get some sleep :p
