No, not another "will there be thief4" thread, but... - by Flux

It's interesting though - if in fact Thief4 is their second project, the release of DX3 will give us a pretty good picture of how good or bad T4 will likely end up being. One would guess that these releases would be about 6 months apart.

By developing this game at our new cutting-edge Montreal studio we have the opportunity to really push the boundaries of expectation for Deus Ex 3 sales.

according to their schedule the releases would be more around a year apart. But yeah, like DXIW and TDS, we may get a feel

That's about right, especially since the studio manager said they couldn't officially announce the next title until a year from now.

Oh man, we're going to have to wait THAT long before we even know if Thief 4 is to be made?
Now that's just torture.

Eeh, I can wait. Maybe I'll have a job by then. :cheeky:

I remember this type of super long waiting game for T3. Just basically try to utterly forget about it, then you can be pleasantly surprised when the game is "suddenly" released in 2011!

Hopefully Thief IV will finally accept its fate as an rpg...

..or better yet, be whatever the frank it wants to be. I long for the old days, when gamesmiths crafted games with passion but without a customizable experience for every damn fool. You played it their way, or you didn't play the damn thing. With any luck, some genius out there will rip Thief off blind and return the genre to cult classic status where it belongs. Shoot, it could be *you*. There is no patent on a Light Gem, shadows to hide in, thick atmosphere, crisp sound, first person view....

Sure thing, just give me five million euros.

Friend of TTLG, hast thou seen what they are doing with DarkMod? *That* is how you get potentially funded, certainly not this way.
