Hmm...
It seems they are starting to fill the vacant jobs.
By the way, among those jobs there is a need for a network programmer.
What does it means ? Multiplayer ??
Well, it does seem so for Deus Ex 3, at least. But Crystal's Tomb Raider: Legend engine has had a multiplayer extension before in Project: Snowblind, according to Wikipedia. I'm not sure why there's a need for two dedicated network programmers for this, even if it's for the Xbox Live API. I mean, Carmack set up a perfectly good working network application for Quake in IPX, TCP/IP, and even modem/nullmodem play. Plus, he wrote QuakeWorld afterwards. Granted, it was client/server and not P2P, but still. I'd think it should be even simpler these days.

As far as i know all games multiplayer or not, need network programmers because of division of labor.
Anyway what engine would you all prefer for thief 4 if the developers had to choose from the avaliable?
post your comments.

I think there already has been an engine discussion some fifteen pages ago.

Sorry for this i will shut up now:(

Don't be silly, no sane person would read a thread this long if they didn't follow it as it grew. The point is, you may be able to find the discussion you seek in earlier posts (and contribute to it, if you feel like it).

Erm....I joined the forums straight after reading the first twenty or so pages in one go. :o

I used to read entire long threads, too. But I've never claimed to be sane. :cheeky:

As time pases by i fear that the new title that begins with a "t" could be tombraider and the "t" from thief logo could be a mistake. This is probably why eidos is quiet on the matter and dont give us any hints.

Why would they give us more hints though? If the announcement won't be for a long time then perhaps they've already said too much if the "T" wasn't a mistake.
