If you hit them in the neck, you'll merely irritate them and get killed, scare them into running off and alerting their buddies, or (if using the prod) possibly need to use two charges.

You merely need to be accurate with the prod..hitting someone to the front will be ineffective. the best way is to sneak behind them and get them and then small of their back.

about the MJ12 commandos if you can sneak right up behind them with the mini-crossbow and a tranq dart and your pistol skills on advanced then you aim for the base of the skull and down they go. One shot. Remember with projectile weapons location matters more than with blunt trauma weapons. Shot an MIB in the legs with a Sniper Rifle and see what happens, But shoot an MIB in the neck or forehead esp. from behind and you get a completly different effect(he dies). Also I was able to complete the ENTIRE game using NON-Lethal Methods, Even walton simmons. I used my lvl. 4 targetting mod, Cloak, and sniper rifle to get him down to 1 or 2 percent overall and then tranqed him. and down he went without exploding. BUT i couldn't get his plasma rifle for some reasons and that made me mad. so i GEPed his body. :) Also I don't count the animals as counting since even if you tranq them it calls it an animal carcass. And robots thats just obvious.
