Ever watch someone with no stealth reflexes play Deus Ex? It's not like thief, where you have to learn something about stealth or never get past the first couple of levels. You can blunder your way through, yet still *go* through.
MJ12 Facility Spoilers:
The fact that he doesn't have a gun at the beginning of this one bothers him a lot. He finally manages to make his way out of the jail. He runs straight past the armory and takes out the entire contents of the command center with a pistol. We're talking quake reflexes in full stride - bang, bang, bang. Same thing with the medical area.
The place where he starts to twist in the wind a little is when he circles back to robot maintience. He keeps going in shooting and some random guard gets him with a sniper rifle.
Right now, he's trying to figure out how to get into the armory with a baker's dozen of sabot rounds and some tnt crates. Because, of course, you *have* to kill those robots to get past them, right?

well, it is possible to sneak past them and then disable them from the security office... but that would kinda go against the non-non-lethal approach, wouldn't it?
:)

Those military robots guarding the armory are so predictable in their patrol routes, that avoiding them can hardly be considered stealth. If you go after them with sabot rounds write a good bye letter to your mom first ;). If avoiding them to get into the armory gives you a case of bad conscience, there's a LAW or two inside that you can grab and then you can go back out and blow them into bits :).

I'm on my second time through the game so have been trying different strategies... if looks like you can use a couple of crates of tnt that are back in the robot maintenance area to take out at least one of the bots ... I had a hard time getting both.
Then, "knock" on the door by pumping a few dozen assault rifle rounds. The alarm should sound, and a soon-to-be-dead soldier opens the door.
Then you run in, grab the LAW and take care of bot #2... all without using a sigle lockpick or hacking skill. :)

Well, to start with....I clear the Med bay and command center with guerilla style fighting...pop up from one of the grates, fire a couple of rounds...duck down, pop up from another grate fire some, then retreat when they spot your portale....move to the other location and repeat process..returning if needed

I disagree
I've watched people play DX with no stealth reflexes. Then I watch the same people get shot to shit. It's not easy to blunder through because of the sophisticated AI. They'll respond to noisy gun fire and set off an alarm. Then you are screwed.
