Oh yeah! "Adamantium claymore of soulrot" here I come! Kick ass!

The trade-offs between light weight, decent damage, and repairs are all moot with bound weapon spells. I love having all the punch of a Daedric weapon with no weight and no repairs, and a nice little weapon skill boost as well. Now, if you're looking to enchant a weapon, that's another story; but a glass claymore has like 4 enchantment points, I think... kinda weak. Compare that to the whopping 80 enchantment points in an ebony scimitar from the Tribunal addon.

Bound weapons (and armor) are very unbalancing; I don’t like them. They are easy spells to cast, inexpensive to purchase and have low casting costs. A first level player with bound longbow is more than equal to any leveled creature and most of the rest.

Bound... Weapons...?
WTF mate ^^
What does a bound weapon do?
Allon on 9/2/2005 at 13:47
Gives you a big bad weapon to play with for a while.
Bad Breath Dude on 9/2/2005 at 15:37
Sounds cool. But how bad is bad? Like "stuff dies if you fart in their general direction bad? Or more like, takes less effort too beat stuff into a bloody pulp bad?

ANOTHER n00b question!
Know about any creatures that a lvl 23 sneakish type person could kill with some effort? I realy need those soul gems.

Bound weapons and armor give you a magical version of Daedric weapons and armor. They perform like Daedric items, but they weigh nothing (weight is an issue with normal Daedric stuff) and also have a small (+5) skill bonus appropriate to the item. Usually the spells have a duration, but constant effect bound items are easy to create as the enchantment point requirement is fairly low.
I believe it is possible to finish the main quest at or around your level, so there shouldn't be any single monster beyond your abilities as long as you don't get ganged.

Mod noob question:
Any mods out there that add creatures that will kick my ass?
Bad Breath Dude on 9/2/2005 at 20:55
Pretty much all of them. Like the wilderness mod. "Hello mister bee! How are you? Whats with the combat music? AAAAH! IT STUNG MY FACE!!! IT BURNS! OH DEAR GOD IT BURNS"
Would you like too load a previous save game?
[Yes] [No]
Those were the days... :)
