I don't think I'd have a problem if Thief4 fails to contain either Garrett, The City, or the steam-punk setting that we love. I feel that Garrett's story has ended, as has that of The City for the time being. Personally, I'm rather curious as to what exists in the rest of the world. Surely there must be something else out there that's interesting enough to make a good story and game about, even if it's not in the same time period.
That being said, sorry about breaking the flow of pagan speaking/bashing.

Oh, I soooooo disagree with you!! Sorry if I sound a bit cranky; haven't had my caffeine quota yet, but why in the world would EM create a game called THIEF 4 that had someone other than Garrett as the lead character, did not have the s-p setting, and was set somewhere (or time) other than the cities we all know and love? Nope; Thief isn't Thief without Garrett. Afterall, he
is the Master Thief. As far as Garrett's story (& that of the City) having ended; I think the devs at EM can use their imaginations to come up with a different plot/storyline that would satisfy us. It's not over til .... well, you know the rest.
