As if there aren't gay Palestinians too
Of course there are. Go to Tel Aviv and throw a rock, you'll probably hit one.

Did I flip some setting to disable imbedded videos?

I can't remember the instructions I was given decades ago but this seems to work OK. I'll ask the boss about the settings.

No - but the forum is restrictive in what it'll recognise as a valid youtube video. If you hit the video button on the toolbar you'll see the example given as "youtube.com/watch?v=xyz". The video above is "youtube.com/shorts/xyz" so it'll just create a link to it.
If you change it to "https://youtube.com/watch?v=M5MZ5..." when you use the Insert Video button then it should embed directly without having to do any further changes.

Quote:
She can fight monsters, flee explosions, and even cry on Graham Norton — but Tilly Norwood is no Hollywood darling.
An AI "actress" called Tilly Norwood, and the European company that created her, have been criticized by real, live Hollywood talent and the American union that represents actors following the virtual star's debut.
Eline Van der Velden, CEO of AI production company Particle6, which created Norwood, said a number of entertainment companies were interested in signing deals with the AI creation, which especially riled actors.
"Hope all actors repped by the agent that does this, drop their a$$," Scream actor Melissa Barrera wrote in an Instagram story post responding to a Deadline article about the digital creation.
Quote:
Other actors posted in agreement in comments under Barrera's post, including Toni Collette, Nicholas Alexander Chavez, Kiersey Clemons and Mara Wilson.
On The View, Whoopi Goldberg said the AI creations generated from many different sources could pose trouble for actors.
"It's got Bette Davis' attitude, it's got Humphrey Bogart's lips ... and so it's a little bit of an unfair advantage," she said. "But you know what? Bring it on. Because you can always tell them from us."
Quote:
In response to the blowback, Van der Velden said she never intended for Norwood to replace a human actor.
"I see AI not as a replacement for people, but as a new tool — a new paintbrush. Just as animation, puppetry, or CGI opened fresh possibilities without taking away from live acting, AI offers another way to imagine and build stories," Van der Velden wrote in a statement on the Tilly Norwood Instagram account.

NEST-FLIX

'Nestflix': the peregrine falcon livestream that has Australians glued to their screens
Since the end of August, tens of thousands of Australians have been tuning in to "Nest-flix", a high drama 24-hour reality channel that first became a hit during the Covid pandemic.
Sometimes compared to Game of Thrones, it features airborne fights, cuckolds, births, breakups and earthquakes, courtesy of its stars - the peregrine falcons who live at the top of a Melbourne skyscraper.
Currently fans are waiting for the moment when this year's chicks, which began hatching at the end of September, attempt their first flight.
They can be seen running up and down flapping their wings on the ledge – 34 storeys high – while their mother has been flying past with pigeons in her talons. "She's teasing the chicks, going 'You wanna eat? Well you gotta fly'," says Dr Victor Hurley, founder of the Victorian Peregrine Project.
The goading and deliberate reduction in food encourages them to fly and helps them lose weight, he says. "Their wings are growing and getting bigger and they get a better wing load ratio to wing load area so they can lift off easier."
