I wouldn't mind more dots in Monolith's next release if it included the words NOLF and H.A.R.M.

I had fun with Extraction Point, but the story was even worse than the original's, which was pretty Half-Life 2 calibre to begin with.
While the first game could've been more creative in HOW to tell the story, the actual plot is very well written, the dialogue was fantastic, and the few scripted story scenes (that weren't just dialogue from phone messages) were very well executed. The voice acting was pretty superb, too.

As much as the news of Monolith re-acquiring the FEAR name interests me: I'm even more interested to know if they re-acquired the rights to NOLF, at the same time.

I disagree on all counts

That's why I love the internet, we can DISAGREE ON ALL COUNTS without actually having to explain why.

To whom did they lose them?

Because if you look closely, they're actually shit. Thats why. It was like an episode of CSI crossed with buffy the vampire slayer.

Yes because one (if the not most) popular shows on Television (that being CSI) is complete shit. I know you, and many others, may not like CSI but ratings don't lie...too much. Oh, and nothing reminds of me of CSI more than blowing the shit out of psychic controlled soldiers in slow motion, hell even Buffy did't have anything like that.

Point still stands, as you still explained absolutely nothing.
Anyways while I believe the story could have been done a bit better, I still found it enjoyable, and will most likely pick up a copy soon after it is released.

In order to get NOLF published, Monolith gave up most (if not all) of the rights to NOLF to Fox Interactive. When Fox Interactive was taken over by VUG/Sierra, the rights transferred over to them.
With the Activision/Blizzard takeover of VUG/Sierra (I believe it was a takeover, not a merger), now seems to be Monolith's chance to get back the rights to NOLF.

Or A.V.P. and Tron.
