I played through the first three Blackwell games this weekend. Consider this post a recommendation to pick up the bundle on steam. It differs from most adventure games in that it treats ideas like inventory items (held on a note pad) which sometimes need to be combined to create new ideas, which can then be used in conversation. Actually most of the puzzle solving deals with this and the conversations... so much that when you do get the typical environmental/object based puzzle, it seems almost (or completely) out of place.
Afterwards rather than go for #4 (I was a ready to try something new) I tried out their other game, Emerald City. It's much more casual and lucas-arty, which isn't a bad thing, but I didn't find the writing quite as fun to listen to.

Max Von Sydow
How is it that Max Von Sydow is still alive? That guy was an old dude already in the 50's!

He played Death at chess... and won. He's a Chuck Norris of the intellect.
Edit: Finished
Enslaved yesterday, and while I still enjoyed the game, the story ending has more issues than a Woody Allen character. Shame... I did like it as it was happening, but it didn't take very long for me to start thinking, "Hang on... This doesn't gel with what we've seen before *at all*!"
Also, getting close to finishing
Bastion and completing the
Arkham City main storyline. Got started on
Sly Cooper on the PS3, and I also installed
Battlefield 3. Are the Back to Karkand maps worth getting? I definitely get nostalgic thinking about some of my
Battlefield 2 experiences (which mainly consisted of getting shot in the head by people much better at the game than me).

Just about done with Alan Wake. Matter of fact the main story is done; now it's just the DLC. Can't wait for American Nightmare!
Think Fable will probably be next. I can't spend too much time at the computer these days -- damn cold weather always makes my arm hurt.

Have you ever played Fable before dethtoll?
I'll be curious to see what you think of it. It gets a LOT of criticism for "dumbed down" RPG mechanics, but I really enjoyed it. It also still manages to maintain some of Lionhead's early sandbox elements, with the world reacting interestingly to your actions.
The combat also has a nifty XP multiplier element to it that's more reminiscent of a SHMUP's score multiplier system.

I bought the Limited Edition just so I would have access to the Back to Karkand pack right after install. I've played almost exclusively on servers that rotate the BtK maps and I have to say I like them better than any of the vanilla BF3 maps but that might just be nostalgia talking.
The maps in the expansion are pretty faithful to the old ones:
Strike at Karkand is still a mad rush to defend/take the warehouse district in the upper corner of the map.
Sharqi Peninsula is still a rush to defend/take the TV station and steal helicopters.
Gulf of Oman is still huge.
Wake Island still punishes whoever loses the airfield. There is also a drivable bulldozer now.

Batman AC for quite some time now.
A wonderful game, I think considerably better than the first one. Even after finding 100+ Riddler's trophies already, it's still a massive fun. Really detailed and complex architecture, general design of the city, lots of side-mission, lots of gadgets and fighting moves, and of course the attracting gameplay. I'm not that far in the story because of all those side things to do, but so far it's MUCH more fun to fight than it was in AA thanks to MASSIVE number of moves and possible tactics, actually it even became a bit too easy on Hard even when you oppose a huge horde. Fast travel through the city is as fluid and fun as it's in inFamous f.e., once you learn how to properly use planing, diving, and accelerated hook. And then, there is a second charater to play besides Batman, with her own gadgets and moves.

Just started on Skyrim, just got to Winterun (sp?), going for a battle hardened Redguard with "I dont give a shit, I just want to make bank" attitude. As expected, the game looks amazing, although it hasn't quite "grasped" me just yet; it still feels like lifeless NPCs wandering randomly around a city (a beaitful city, I will give them that). Though entering the pub at 10pm, sitting on a bench and listening to the bard only to have the waitress come and ask me for an order. And when I got a room for the night, the lady walked me to my bed and all. Atmosphere++ :D
On that note, I've heard how bad the UI is, but holy shit, it is bad. I can deal with the scroll lists, but the skill trees just kill me. I cant navigate them for shit, the stupid thing always goes to different nodes than I want. And it can jump between different skill trees, which is extra annoying. And it seems the menus are half broken too (sometimes I can do stuff with "e"+"tab" sometimes I need to click wtih a mouse. and for some reason the conversation options seem to mess up if you try to mix mouse and kb input, grrr!)

(
http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=3863) Mods to the rescue. Unfortunately I don't think we'll see things like the clunky as hell to navigate, constellation-based skill tree remedied until the SDK is released.
