Finished up Ico last night. I have to say, this feels like a predecessor to today's "art games." Absolutely loved it, however.
Also started Shadow of the Colossus -- took one down. Like it so far, but I think I'm going to end up preferring Ico.
There's something... intimate, for want of a better word about
ICO that
Shadow of the Colossus doesn't have. It doesn't try to, and it excels in other ways, but personally I am more drawn to that quiet, intimate quality, and I hope that
The Last Guardian will recapture it.

SoTC got me in the end... they get progressively more epic and more... humble looking. More majestic. And it feels so evil, what you are doing.
Also, you haven't lived till you've riden a hawk. =o
Oh, and riding with your sword up high lighting the way is simply breathtaking.

Five colossi down, way too many to go.

Just got it today and met the first one. I can't get the light to shine on it's weak spots even though I stand in the sunlight and hit attack. I've had a go at his leg though and I'll go back later to finish him off.

You hit the circle button to focus the beam on weak spots, just like how you found the first colossus to begin with. Anyway, having a go at his leg is all well and good, but you probably want to aim a little bit higher. You'll know where you need to stick your sword in when you see it, because it's kinda prominent.

It takes a little figuring out. Once you get his leg and he stumbles, that's when you start climbing.

Taken 4 down now and already, I feel this is... Wrong.

Like a moral quandary or something? Pretty sure that's the idea.

Oh,I know. They certainly got my number.
The bird was epic and this is so frigging dark.
Scratch that.
SNAKEFISH!!!
What an awesome game to remake in HD. It looks great. I can't believe this was on PS2. The idea behind out is tremendous.
