I've finally started New Vegas, which I bought ages ago, before Christmas. I'm not quite sure what to think of it. I like the added complexity of of the crafting and inventory systems (and I get the sense that, a few hours in, I've barely scratched the surface), but the game is somehow less engaging than FO3 overall; can't quite put my finger on it... One of my favourite parts of FO3 was that if you just wandered off in some random direction, on a quest or whatever, you'd inevitably find something weird and interesting, distracting you from whatever you were originally trying to do. I'm hoping that once I actually hit Vegas things will pick up, but so far I've seen nothing as stunning as the DC ruins, or as architecturally interesting as Megaton. The writing definitely feels less clunky and awkward than FO3's, but at the same time it's all the more tedious; I find myself constantly skipping through conversations about political/factional matters that the game has, thus far, given me no good reason to care about. We'll see. I activated the Wild Wasteland perk, so maybe that'll help.

@ Aja: New Vegas took a minute to click with me as well. Once it did, it was awesome but at first it was just meh. Stick with it, bro.

inMomentum is the game of the uh moment. For me and, I dunno, ten other people. (te blazes with the rest of you and your hundred dollar games).
The lobby system and so on needs a bit extra, but its definitely got that Trackmania-ish quality of "One more go--Gahh!!--I know! That way this time--Noooo!--But it should work! I can do it---Ahh, missed it!! Quick, restart!--Yes,yes!! Noooooo!-

I'm currently playing RDR for the first time as well (with some Batman:AA Challenge Maps interspersed every now and then). In fact, I believe I started 1 day earlier than dethtoll, so that makes me winner.
Then again, my horse just died, so... fuck.

Yeah, so I've heard :) (did some research in the FO forum after I posted that). I'll definitely stick with it. I'm still enjoying it at least, it's just not as immediately striking as FO3.

I'm not going to res the thread for one comment, but if you need a headphone jack, you can always get a RCA -> 3.5 mm adaptor, then get a gender-changer plug on the end. It will let you pretend your headphones are external speakers and works quite well on most sets (so long as they let you turn off the built-in speakers).

You should ask him how he got it running on his system. Maybe he used a Glide wrapper or summat. I got MW4 running just fine because I'm actually from the future.

In that case you should go
Back to the Future!I've been trying to knock out the rest of Vanilla GTA 4. I got damn close to finishing it on 360, and I've been slogging my way through it again while out in this shitty country. Given the level of detail, its a pretty good choice of game....almost makes me feel like I'm back in New York.
After that its on to Lost and the Damned. Looking forwards to it a bit more than the main game, since I'm HOG lover in real life and even in-game prever driving motorcycles.

Of course you love hogs. But not the gay ones.
Anyway, so with Red Dead Redemption shelved for now (:() I decided why the hell not, let's have a little Call of Duty up in this bitch -- SO: World at War to begin with. Forgot just how much darker this game was compared to the "classic" trilogy.
