Refuses to work for me in Win7 sadly :(. Considering how fantastic Mechwarrior 2 + the expansions were, this was one of my must plays. Grr.
Man, I'm in the same boat. I had so much fun with MW3 way back when. I was itching to play it again recently, but the thing crashes every three minutes. :(
It's my favourite of the series -- the feel of the mechs and weapons is just perfect. MW4 mercs comes a close second.

Of course you love hogs. But not the gay ones.
If dethtoll rode bikes, it wouldn't be too long before he got slapped with one of these patches:

Which is actually what it means. An 8-ball patch means somebody got caught buttfucking another man.

Finished Commandos 2 (was awesome to the max) and started up Commandos 3: Destination Berlin, and my first impressions are ... well not exactly positive. First, the game is hard coded to run in 800x600 and I had to hex edit the exe file to make it run in 1024x768 (the previous had this option in the options menu). The the mission design isn't too good either, the first two missions are practically war missions, and that stuff doesn't suit this game IMO. The third mission even has a part that has a time limit. Uh. Controls are messed up too, no hotkeys and some changes that doesn't make sense ... at the heart it's still Commandos, so I'll keep playing it, but it's significantly worse than the previous two.
I also started FEAR2: Project Origin. Back then I only played the unpatched version, and now that it displays in proper 5:4 and I could disable motion blur and film grain, it's like playing a different game. And it's not bad so far - I miss leaning but the combat system works, AI seems good, nice scenery ... I started it on Hard (supposedly harder than in the unpatched version), we'll see if I screwed myself with that decision or not. :)

Every time Turbine releases a patch or update for LotRO I wonder how much they've whacked hunters this time. And with Rise of Isengard, the answer is - quite a bloody lot actually. :sadpony:
