Tried to play Thief gold on an old laptop from 2000. It gets about 10 FPS in complex scenes (rooms that aren't just a simple cube).

Well I'll be damned... is there not a rather heavy Garrett influence to Cynric in the thieves guild? Even Cynric sounds like a pun...
Edit: And his eye! One of his eyes is covered by his hood!
Ok ok, I'm dumb. It IS Garrett. :| (

God dammit Skyrim fanboys.
No surival element. I'm not letting this go. There's a decashitload of food in the game already, it would take a day to introduce something as simple as hunger. Sleep too - there's Rested and Well Rested statuses, so make Tired and Fucking Tired ones as well douchebags. Time goes way too fucking fast.
The physics are a joke. You can climb and go down anything that isn't a vertical wall. When walking over things like bones, etc. you often send them flying and into your face which hurts you a little. Dead bodies love to slide down hills and you have to chase them for loot. NPCs love to knock stuff off shelves/stalls in cities and shops.
The system is broken in so many ways. Half of it was REMOVED and it's STILL BROKEN BEYOND WORDS. Jesus, what the fuck happened here? Look, Beth, a rule of thumb: If you're making an "RPG" and you decide on a system simpler than the one in Diablo 2 - give the fuck up.
You gain XP chunks as you level up skills. So when creating a character, you should pick the race that DOESN'T have the skills you will be using a lot. Because more skill level ups = more levels.
And more levels = better loot. Yes, after god knows how many people wrote treatises about how level scaling in a game with non-combat skills is A FUCKING RETARDED IDEA, Beth is still too fucking inbred to listen. Loot scaling. Level scaling. Get the fuck out of here.
The "Perks" are all boring and yep, broken in so many ways. Some of them are stupidly powerful(like Silence, which allows every Thief out there to run around clad full in Heavy Armor with no penalty at all; actually there's no reason AT ALL in Skyrim to use any other armor but Heavy), some of them are just pointless(all main Lockpicking skills). Some have ridiculous scaling, like Shield Wall which gives you 20% better block at level 1, and then the increase is only 5% per point. And said level 1 can be taken with Blocking of 15.
For a game that focuses on killing Dragons they're really kind of meh. I mean first Dragon you kill is your low-level character + several riffraff militia from a nearby city with bows. Epic fucking battle indeed.

Koki being a tremendous asswagon as usual. Do you like ANYTHING? Why dont you do something else with your life since you're obviously terribly bitter and cant enjoy one single fucking game? Seriously, are you masochist? Why are you still browsing forums complaining about shitty games no one is forcing you to play? Its like at some fucking point in your narcissistic little world you forgot that we play games to enjoy them, games arent MADE to somehow satisfy your every little prepubescent fantasy. Maybe you stick to bitching about games online because its as close to a social life you'll ever have, but shit dude, if that's all you have left then just fuck off and die.

My instant thought is "Yes! This means there's a good chance he'll be available to work for Eidos Montreal!"
I have to wait another 10 agonizing days til I can buy Skyrim, so I'm biding my time by playing through Metro 2033 which I got in a sale a while back. Some clunkiness aside, this is a fantastically immersive FPS. I really dig the bullet system. Even without using bullets as currency, the game does a great job of making ammo feel incredibly valuable, and making sure you make every shot count becomes the order of the day.

Whether he enjoys Skyrim and most games or not (he doesn't), and whether he's a pisswank or not (he is), it's stupid that the same complaints from Oblivion re: levelling up and level scaling have carried over to Skyrim. He's got some valid points, and that's not even taking into account how many UI design fundamentals the game trips over in the approach it takes with aesthetics over functionality. Hell, it's just incompetent when something as simple as ensuring that pressing Escape exits out of any UI element wasn't given consideration.

Yeah, Skyrim is pretty enjoyable. First time I actually noticed how far can I push the world map to the sides I was like

Just because you guzzle whatever spunk is presented to you doesn't mean his criticism is any less valid. :tatts:

Well then, they'd better post that console loot and enemy-levelling with non-tedious inventory navigation patch for the PC too,
