Nintendo kinda deserves Sony copies them, again, and because it's Sony it will CHANGE THE WAY WE THINK OF GAMING despite being the exact same thing. Should I be excited by this (starts at 20 minutes)

It would have to a special game indeed that make me cough for the Sony Move wand controller; even more so for MS Natal since that has no physical input at all, just flapping your arms about in front of a camera.
P.S. Please give us a more descriptive thread title.

If it is really precise is would be cool, I like playing fps with the wii-mote and the difference in graphics is starting to hurt a little. But I can't see this working they kinda are making a fool out of themselves, presenting a 2(?) year old idea and presenting it with the usual hyperbole they would beat Steve Jobs with that guru crap.

Looks pretty much identical to the wii controllers cept that theres no hand straps so you`ll have the "zomg I threw my controller through my tv" issues that I remember the wii having in its early days. The circle orbs at the top is different. Was only a matter of time before one of the big gaming companies went and copied the wii.
Honestly dont see this making any huge impact. The normally non game playing public (the wii`s biggest audience) only know of the wii and have been hearing and seeing all good things about it for a long time. So its quite unlikely that they`ll even give it a 2nd look. The only ones who will is us the actual gamers. Whether or not it makes any impact there remains to be seen.
Certainly wont have the same impact the wii had. Nintendo themselves will have a hard enough time when they eventually go for a wii 2 or whatever they end up calling it.

How is it identical? Where's the joystick?
And what's with the ball at the top???

I was wondering that myself. Looks weird.
[EDIT]Know what? It more than likely has something to do with how the Move attaches in-game objects to the top of the controller, which you see in the tech demo. Making it a huge, pastel ball was probably unnecessary, but that may be the purpose it serves.

The device is used in conjunction with the Playstation Eye, or so I'm told. The ball at the top is what the Eye tracks to determine the position of the wand.

Boy they're ripping Nintendo off big.
Any idea what material the ball is made of? I can already see it snapped off from chipping against a wall or an edge or something if it's not quality.
Instead of nunchucks, Sony's got the salsa shakers maracas.
