Well, it could be "my fault", but it depends what texture pack you have installed.
If you have a texture pack that includes textures for female characters, the women are 'chocolate colored' because their textures are missing; or rather, the original textures have been successfully overridden, but the high res textures are misplaced or missing, so the game can't use them.
Since you don't have my latest, collective pack installed, I'm guessing the problem has to lie with the old Lady Elisabeth Textures texture pack.
So my advice would be to uninstall that, and see if that fixes it (there should be an uninstall entry in Add-Remove Programs in the Control Panel). Then perhaps reinstall it.
If it's not fixed by doing that, you can PM me, and we'll sort it out.
In general, I'd advice people to use my latest packs though, both because the textures are most likely improved, and because the Collective pack works faster, more efficiently, and more reliably than the old packs.

Telling it's "your fault", I wouldn't dare. Your textures packs are awesome ! :D
Reinstalling ye olde Elizabeth pack(JohnP.s_Textures_For_Lady_Elisabeth_28-Aug-2005.exe) didn't help, though.
I didn't install your newest release, because I fear my decent framerate will drop like a rock from a cliff.
Actually I can play with it, I only encounter that little problem (and I do like chocolate :laff: ) in ONE level (Seaside Mansion). If I have more glitches I will consider reinstalling the entire game with your latest pack.
Still I wonder why it appears so suddenly. Maybe GarrettLoader has overwritten something while restoring the default settings ?
Anyway, thanks for the response !

Some feedback :
I finally installed your latest textures pack (seeing it on my hard-drive was too much of a temptation and it was lolling at me) and my fears are gone !
I, of course, uninstalled the old versions first, it was quite long.
Wow, installation very fast surprisingly, results in game, gorgeous ! My framerate is not altered.
Well, I'm a happy taffer.
Thanks, John, for your works ! :thumb:

Thanks - nice to hear it worked out. :)
Remember there's a small patch available for the texture pack as well (applicable if you installed the walls/floors/ etc. option in the texture pack).

I tried to install this texture pack but it always gets stuck here, I have updated DX2:IW to 1.2.

is there anyway to fix this or should I give up on this texture pack, maybe there is some other...?

First of all - just to make sure - this is posted in the Thief General Discussion, but I assume you're trying to get new textures for DX:IW?
Then; is your DX:IW version either in the CD or DVD version, or is it a version you have bought and downloaded legally from the web, for instance the Direct2Drive version?
If it's a downloaded version, none of my packs (or any other packs) will work, unfortunately.
If that's not it either; what operating system are you using?

it's a 2CD version, I'm using Windows XP pro SP2, athlon64 3200+, 2GB ram

OK, it seems they both get stuck when ibd_patcher.exe is trying to alter the game files then. This is the first I've heard of this problem (when you don't have the D2D version), so it's a little tricky.
First thing that comes to mind is that it perhaps could be caused by a virus scanner which is preventing ibd_patcher.exe from altering the game files.
I have my virus scanner active while I apply the texture packs, and have never had problems with it, but I guess there's a chance some virus scanners could be more "extreme".
I'm going to see if I can somehow troubleshoot this here, but I doubt there's a whole lot I can do, since I didn't code ibd_patcher.exe. But I'll look into it.
But - could you do me a favor and go to the Deus Ex - Invisible War\Content\DX2\Maps folder, and see what size the file Kernel_GFXALL.ibd has? Then post the number here?
