Thanks! I was kinda iffy because the textures don't really match even though they're all from the same photo.
What do you mean match? Are you talking about coherence? Maybe saturate, or darken contrast to make color richer, to sort of "congeal" the look better.

I used a sample of the red part of the texture as the texture for the pump body, but in the right example the pipe coming out on the right side of the pump body looks out of place.

Thank you Ravenhook. I'll post a link to download Friday night.
Edit: I'm off Saturday so I'm going to find a similar texture to the one used in the photo. I don't really feel comfortable using the photo itself for reasons mentioned elsewhere. :o

No problem John, I just appreciate your hard work.

Thanks Ravenhook. I uploaded the water pump to the Object Repository. The texture looks rather bright but it might not be so much under dark lighting. If needed I can adjust the texture to make it look darker. I included only one model as I did not have a suitable texture to make the horizontal pipe look dirty or rusted.

John, I took the liberty of making your red texture dirty. I did this in Photoshop myself so there's no copyright issues, you're free to use it. It's seamless (at least enough for objects), so it should work fine. Feel free to use it or not, as you like.

Thanks Mike! :) I included your texture in the zip file and made a second version of the water pump with your texture, and I have uploaded the new zip file to TOG.

You're welcome, John. I suppose I should mention (not that I care) that you credited Larry with the texture in the readme. LOL
I put the object in game to see how the texture looked. First, that's a fantastic job, man. I love the pump, nice work. Second, the texture is still pretty red. Nothing wrong with that except that it doesn't really match the handle. If that's what Ravenhook is going for, fine, but now that I've seen it I'd be happy to give you some other versions of the texture if you like that might match the handle better. Up to you.
