Considering a console port is all but inevitable nowadays, achievements are, by extension, also all but inevitable, especially in the case of the X360. Given that, they should at least make some kinda sense, and no more than 3-5 of them should be on the "ridiculously hard" level.
You know, something like (this is an example of doing it wrong): Complete a mission or rob a high-ranking target whilst running without being seen or heard and remaining still for no longer than 5 seconds.
This example may be a tad extreme, but its not a far cry from some of the achievements I've seen on some of the games I've played.
Also, I must insist there be no secret achievements. Seriously, wtf? That shit's just retarded, either tell me what I need to do or go butt a stump.

I always thought achievements were invented for Newbies that don't understand the basic principles of a game/genre or grasp how you could play it differently from how the tutorial/manual tells you to do. So basically for idiots. Needing artificial motivation to play a game again is just sad. But that should not hinder the dev team to include them. a good game is all about option that do not interfere with the game but tailor it to the customer while still retaining their original vision for the game.

^ Or given as a little reward saying basically "You did it right!" Like the achievement "Ghillies in the Mist" for Call of Duty 4.

"You taffin' SUCK!! You were told what to do and you just blundered your way through and only by some miracle happened to meet the barest objectives! UNBELIEVABLE! This deserves the dubious honor of the Very Lucky Hand of Glory achievement!"

And of course pwning noobs online in Thiaf deathmatch on Xbawks live (now with auto-aiming fire arrows!)

Hey, now, let's be all-inclusive here. You gotta add the PSN...I'd add whatever the Wii's version of Live is, but frankly, I don't think many people give a shit at this juncture.

Making fun of it is worthwhile. Well, it whiles away the time for a chuckle.:cheeky:
