I have a simple sewer in my mission. One flow brush has water flowing east to west, and two others intersect with one at the west end of the first and flowing north, and the other meeting the first midway and flowing south.
If I start my mission at the start point and go to the sewer, the water in the first flow brush is flowing diagonally from NE to SW but much faster than any of the other brushes. If I go back to edit mode while in the sewer and go back into game mode, the water flows correctly.
Later today I want to remove the second and third flow brushes to see if there is any change, but I was wondering if anyone has encountered this before.

ive not seen anything like that—though i have little experience with flow brushes. does the issue persist after re-portalizing?

Yes. I think I'll separate the flow brushes and see if that clears up the problem.

I've had some success by putting a blockable brush around each water brush with a different direction and/or flow speed. This is by no means an instant fix but might help.
Check the sewers in Cardinals' Sins, around object # 3731.

Ok thanks for the tip. What's funny is that in my last mission I had a river that flower in many different directions but never had an issue with the flow direction. Last night I changed the perpendicular flow to match the main sewer flow, and then both were moving rapidly diagonally. :o
