Abe's Oddysee and Exoddus are two of the best games I've ever played.
I had a paragraph more to say, but I wrote and re-wrote it so many times that I decided to just leave it at "two of the best games I've ever played" -- engaging worlds, easy yet somehow challenging and hilarious gameplay, and utterly memorable characters / environments.
I still wander around quoting Slig lines once in a while.

Anyway, I took the plunge and bought the bundle. Odyssey is a high quality, charming little game. I remembered what had really turned me off of these games 8 years ago (at the time I would've been 13, almost 14-years-old) whilst playing the demos, they are damn challenging.
I've created a Xpadder profile for Odyssey, to be used with a Xbox 360 pad. It's mapped to the PS1 version controls, I'll upload it during the day after I've tested it with Exodus.

Abes Oddysee was fantastic. made me think of that old platformer on the Genesis called Another World. You can get it for PC too.. damn hard game, but worth it.
I played Strangers Wrath on Xbox and found it far more entertaining than anything else on the xbox.
Another World was awesome. Very ahead of its time in gameplay composition, IMO. It was the way there was a lot of variation in what you were doing - could be argued it predated the minigame combo design well before that design's day came. I need to pick up the redux version of that at some point. If Abe's Odyssey is in any way similar, I'll get that too. Is it?

I got this yesterday off Steam along with The Path and a bunch of other stuff. I remember the Oddworld games as being difficult to the point of outright frustration, so I'm not too sure why I bought the pack! But hey, these were at impulse purchase prices, so what the hell.
Anyway, Oddysee doesn't start. It crashes as soon as it tries to go fullscreen, which is really weird. I'd fiddle around with the compatibility settings, but Steam doesn't really allow me to. God damn it.

Here's hoping that the PC ports of Munch's Oddysee and Stranger's Wrath are properly done, otherwise Angry Internet Men everywhere will be wanting Lorne Lanning's head on a pike. Obviously developers have the benefit of the doubt until the product ships, but history has thought us to be pessimists.
EDIT: The (

Wait, WHAT?!?!? Where did you hear that they are porting the XBOX-exclusive games to PC? Do you have a source? That is really good news for all of you non-Xbox owners. Considering the games aren't even compatible w/the 360, there is a large potential market out there who is incapable of playing them in their orginal forms.

Pretty fucking good news. I'm gonna get Munch and Stranger at day1. Hope they don't screw up the PC port though.
