Ok, I think it's worth addressing the fact that you cannot (and should not) treat these two things as if they were the same:
A) Fictional female characters in computer games who wear skimpy outfits and are generally drawn by men.
B) Actual women who choose to dress as the women described above.
Just because an actual person dresses as a fictional person, they are not that fictional person, and will not (necessarily) behave or respond in the same way the fictional person does.
If I dress up like Malcolm Reynolds, I do not automatically acquire the ability to get in repeated fistfights while still remaining ruggedly charming.
(though conveniently I have those abilities anyway :p)

Yes, I'm sure they pick the characters to cosplay because of their deep personalities and interesting backstories. I'm also sure that if there was a way to buy cosplay clothes they would all keep on making their own because it's so entertaining. I'm also quite sure that you missed not only my point but your own(from the previous post) as well.
Well Koki, consider - many nerd guys dress in the most retarded douchebag jock/ uber-gay anime fagu for comicons. Is it really that inconceivable a nerd girl would do the same?
Cosplay isn't a sexism or a gender issue at all, and has no place in this thread. The original design for the characters as DDL points, however, does.

Are you seriously comparing dressing up in an AERIS DIES t-shirt to wearing something that can only be described as skimpy lingerie?

So cosplay is not sexist even though it's all about the look, not the character's personality or story. But when you appreciate cosplay girls for their looks and not their personality, etc. that's sexist.
:weird:
If sexy female game characters which objectify the female form are a problem, how can you say that mimicry by real girls who try to replicate the sex appeal of these characters is not a problem?

It's hard to make a logical argument on a non-logical basis.
This is also why dealing with feminists is so hard. How are you going to argue with someone who does not use reason?
On a side note, since we spent last two pages talking about cosplay for some reason, a clarification: I posted that TERA Online picture not because of how she is dressed, but because she looks fucking
ten years old. That Penny Arcade strip, as hypocritical as it may be, delivers the point quite nicely.

I forward to you without any further comment
And that's why comment might help, since it looks like a cat/elf monster, as far as I can gauge.
I..I don't encounter many cat/elf monsters in my daily life so I don't know what a 10-year-old one would look like.
And honestly, TERA online does not appear to be one of the more (
http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a5/catica314/tera_2010-02-16_17-37-44-28.jpg) realistic games when it comes to depicting women, or men (or cat monsters, apparently). So..uh..was there a point?
