Yeah the "dating scene" thing is sort of played out... There's a lot of human behavior that evolutionary biology has things to say about, though. It's not like mate-selection is the only interesting thing there, or bar-courting the only interesting thing to say about mate-selection.
Don't forget old favorites like fight/flight, food-selection, cheating, familial relations...
Or classic debates around evolution & behavior like the nature/nurture debate, the free will debate, is the mind born a clean-slate or pre-programmed, etc.
My brain is too tired just now to start something rolling though... Itself probably something evolution teaches us about.

Well yeah, over the years I've grown in confidence and am more confident than I was at the time when I met my girlfriend. While I'm not sure enough of myself to pull off the "nice legs, what time do they open" type of stuff (I know that's a terrible pick up line, but you know what I mean), I've also grown over the "I suck, don't bother with me" phase.
