Seeing hybrids for my first time on System Shock 2. Ran round and round in a terrified panic whacking random things with a wrench, then hiding in a little room and turning the game off :eek: . Yep, I was scared all right!
Aah, those were the days.... :D

X-Wing Alliance
Twice : Hyperspace to the death star, turning around and seeing all those Star Destroyers 'Oh Crap' :eek: Then finding that they werent real 'Ohhh CRAP' :grr:
Playing Pokemon on the Nintendo Gameboy using the duplicate everything bug, turning the GB off and finding that the bug wipes the save slot if you dont save then and there :tsktsk:

Farcry. Crawling in the jungle in Treehouse map, 1st one where you meet some monkeys. And having one jump right on my face. Emtied a clip into the bugger while desperately trying to back off. Surprisingly it missed on the initial strike and I didnt loose any health on the encounter. I did spend couple minutes rooted to the spot tho just to catch my breath.

Silent Hill:
--When I walked into the elementary school and one little freak pinned my arms while the other grabbed my legs and starting chewing on me.
--When Lisa said, "I understand now."
--When one of those things in the sewer dropped down from the ceiling. I didn't realize they could do that.
--The carousel scene. Particularly running back after running away and looking on top of a horse.
Silent Hill 2:
--When I saw that guy at the end of the hallway behind the metal bars.
--When I walked into that one apartment on the third floor... ugh, memorable scene.
--When I stepped into the stairwell and saw what was going on there... and that I wasn't getting out anytime soon.
--When I realized I was going to have to fight TWO Pyramid-Heads at once.
--When I saw the actual appearance of the hotel.
Silent Hill 3:
--The very first flashed scene of the intro, right before the song kicks in, because oh HELL is that the kind of twisted scene I'm going to be seeing in this game?
--When Heather said she was going to take the subway home.
--When I walked over that freaking grate that I thought was just going to be an empty scare.
--Stepping into the hell-mall for the first time and seeing a big effing closer.
--Actually, seeing just about ANY monster in SH3 for the first time. ESPECIALLY THE NURSES IN BROOKHAVEN HOSPITAL.
--Basically any moment that reminded me of SH1, of which there were many.
--The end monster, which was so epically horrifying and epitomized freakishness...

First time I really got into Silent Hill 1...my flatmates had gone out to a rave and I didnt have enough cash, so I decided to play Silent Hill...worse mistake ever. Not only was the night one of the worst storms in recent years, I lived in an old villa two storey place...the whole house was moving and shaking, and I knew that no one would hear me scream because of the wind howling outside and the loud, heavy rain...I emptied into my boxers a few times...especially when you are in the horror school part and you go through the lockers, and you hear something in it...something moving...and so you open it, and theres nothing there...HUGE sigh of relief, and as I walked off some dead dude falls out of the locker next to it...I screamed so loud...so glad my flatmates were out, they would have given me the hassles for that one...so embarrassing...

Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance 2, flatmate and I played through it twice and then attacked Extreme Mode with the necromancer and cleric (me) - We went to do the clock tower a second time for the XP. Or maybe the items. Somethiing like that.... We made it to the end of that area and got ripped to pieces over and over. I didn't survive that at all. Melee characters in those new Gauntlet clones suck :(
