one of the last levels in Penumbra: Requiem. I was complaining the entire time that it was just puzzles and didn't really seem to be all that scary because you were just walking around in a big maze basically. Then on this level you had to get a boiler going in the basement, and you know that you got there because one of the monsters dragged you there or something like that. and upon walking around you hear these running footsteps on the concrete and you're whipping around trying to see who is in there with you, there isn't anybody of course, there are no NPC's in the game at all, but at that moment you're really trying to convince yourself of it.

Zombies in Thief :D
I liked how the game (on medium at least when the lift works) gives you a moment to just sit still and stare at them. You're freaking out, you have no idea what to do, and the game just mocks you by having zombies run by your screen. They know you're there, you're in bright lighting, and there's only a tiny crack that you have to jump over for them to get you.

I love how you resurrect a dead thread for a worthless comment. Dipshit.

I wonder if this old requiem would keep this thread dead for more than 5 years. I guess it's worth trying...
Requiem ternam dona eis, Domine,
et lux perpetua luceat eis.
Requiescant anima eius et animae omnium fidelium defunctorum per misericordium dei requiescant in pace.
