The Zombies in Thief 1 gave me one of those moments of course. There was also a similar moment in the Cradle when I(playing for the first time) foolishly thought that I had killed a puppet but when I got near his body, the bastard sprung up again alive and well, making his weird screeching and hissing noises clawing at my face.
And there was another moment a week back when I was playing Tomb Raider Anniversary on the PSP and got up to the T-Rex fight:eek:
There were a lot of those sort of moments in FEAR as well. Especially when it came to those scripted Alma events like the hallway explosion thing right after the first couple of stages and when her older self pops out of a vent to take a swipe at you while you're climbing a ladder.

My excuses, I spotted somebody reading this thread in the Who's Online list, got catched by it's title and quickly replied without checking the dates. I seem to have occasional problem with this.
Always ambushing dethtoll the tagger seems to be excited though, so it probably wasn't completely useless.

I agree with that 2004 post about Silent Hill 4. That game was pretty completely an oh crap-fest. And that's minus the exclamation point.
I also agree with the buglunch post below that, totally south on the caltrop clopping. Fuck did I come to this place late.

I have ten shitloads (ololol...) of "oh crap.../oh shit..." moments, but right now I just feel like sharing one, which I think is a doozy :)
First colossus I fought in Shadow of the Colossus.
I've already seen several videos of the colossi at the Net, but playing it on a big TV screen, knowing that -I- was controlling the small wee human against -THAT-.
Oh shi...
Great times :)
