I've seen pictures of the new Bionic Commando game, and I'm probably not the only one who thought it looked cheesy as all get out. And I'm not talking good cheesy either, what with this new supertuff bionic commando and his too Xtreme attitude turned up so high he was thrown in the brig for being such a hardcore badass or whatever. I thought the new imagining of the old classic so near and dear to my heart to be on par with the changes made between the first and second Prince of Persia.
But all isn't lost. To celebrate the arrival of the new and improved (snicker snicker guffaw) Bionic Commando, Capcom is taking the old BC, spitshining it, giving it a shiny coat of modern graphics, and releasing it on XBLA and PSN. To me, that's like introducing a brand new H3 with the Monster Energy Drink logo painted on the side to show how FUCKING RAD AND TUFF it is, and to celebrate, they're giving away military issue Humvees with rocket engines strapped to the back as door prizes.
But hey, I ain't complaining. Ain't got no reason to.
(

Awesome dude, great find. It has 2-player co-op too (hopefully with an online play option). That reminds me, I should buy the XBLA port of Contra (which has online co-op).

Spoiler warning for those who didn't play the original : I wonder if it will be the version with
Hitler in the chopper
or the tamed one. Either way it's great to see these old games bounce back now and again.

You haven't seen the video, eh?
It's the NES one, the KICK ASS one (props to the arcade one, but, IMHO, NES version was better).
Also...
blowing Hitler...er...I mean, Master D's (;)) face was priceless <3. Great times.
Yeah I saw the video, looks loads better than the new entry it's meant to drum up support for IMO.
What I meant was that the NES had two versions, the first was a direct Japanese version in english and the second was a lightly censored American version that removed references to Nazis.
Now how about some Rygar or Ikari Warriors damn it.

Looks like Re-armed is also coming out for PC, but I can't find any mentions of how it's going to be distributed. Probably with the PC version of the full game.

Apparently, I think, we're getting the slightly censored version...alas...:(

They're trying to be true to the American version. I guess BC was more popular here than in Japan.
