She's a pawn with demands that none of you would accept. She gets to say whatever she wants about you and you the accused are NOT allowed to confront her? Tell me that's fair
Again, this is not a criminal trial, so don't talk about criminal trial rules. He's not going to jail, it's a job application.
Passing a polygraph shuts her up for good. You know Trump's lock her up chant? Dems should repeat over and over and over again in front of every microphone they stand and say: "Why won't he take a polygraph?" Make it a mantra!

That's a painful tale, uncadonego. Respect for posting it.

I find it on Music that you and Renz are more than happy to talk about everything else and avoid addressing the fact that none of you would play by the rules she has set. She gets the final word and you don't get to defend yourself

But Kavanaugh is entitled to defend himself or refute the claims. Surely a third party investigation would help resolve the issue. Without that we may only assert opinions about who is telling the truth.

Part of her demands is that he's not present and can't counter what she says
Quote:
**Ford will not appear any sooner than next Thursday
**No questions to be asked at hearing by any outside counsel — only senators
**Mark Judge must be subpoenaed
**Kavanaugh would testify first, then Ford would testify, and Kavanaugh would have no opportunity to respond or rebut
**Deadline for her to provide written statement before the hearing would be waived
Provide adequate security
Only one pool camera in hearing room
Ford and Kavanaugh allotted the same amount of time to talk
Yet another person that ford has dragged into this is denying her claims. And this is from a friend of hers

You're not understanding what's going to be going on here. This isn't a debate, it isn't a trial, it's a senate hearing. Kavanaugh tells his story, gets grilled by the committee for however many hours they deem necessary. Ford then goes through the same. Afterwards, they'll take everything said, and put it into consideration if and when they give him the job.
If you want Kavanaugh off on the sidelines, screaming "NO! YOU LIE!", you're gonna be disappointed.
And remember, Kavanaugh isn't the one fighting the uphill battle here. The onus of proof rests entirely on Ford's shoulders. Kavanaugh is viewed as innocent for now, and it's her job to convince a friendly committee otherwise.

Remember. We're not investigating a crime here. It's been 40 years. The statute of limitations is long since past. It's all about who's lying, and why. Right now, with the evidence we have on hand, it's hard to say anything in this regard. It's all he said, she said. Ultimately, it all comes down to a test of character, for the persons and parties involved, that could SO VERY EASILY backfire on the accusers if they decided to put a liar up on stage for all the world to see.
Actually, it appears there's no statute of limitations in Maryland for this:
Also, about the various things thrown around here, why she didn't report at the time, etc.
Do you have any idea how difficult it is for someone to report something like this? She was only 15 and she had been drinking, so already everything was set against her. You know how victims could be treated in these cases, especially at that time. Especially as the boy was from an elite school and his mother was the county prosecutor.
Also what about Grassley's crazy demands? The arbitrary deadlines. That no outside investigation is necessary and only his staff is needed to investigate this. The very same staff whose lead in this tweeted out "Unfazed and determined. We will confirm Judge Kavanaugh." after the accusation came to light? Usually, the FBI investigates new information on a candidate, yet apparently it's not necessary this time? Why? Yeah, what a fair hearing she'll be getting where the outcome is already determined. No wonder she has some demands on her own.

again. The people she has managed to mention have countered her bs claims. One of them was her own friend
