To what point are you doing this, though? It seems to me that you’re only playing moral zero-sum games where everyone’s an asshole, everyone’s in it for themselves, and nuance, ambivalence and grey areas go right out the window. Are you hoping to achieve more than a snide, self-important “Wake up, sheeple!” thing? If so, I think you need to do more than the “moral equivalence, y’all!” you’ve been doing.

Yeah, first, everyone's done it is BS. Second, it's high time that men get it through their heads that if you screw up women's psyches and self respect, it will come back to bite you in the ass and eff up your reputation and career.
Now, in the wake up sheeple department, I would naively wish that old mofo reptiles like McConnell, Hatch and Grassley would just shrivel up and wither away, but I know their kind will always be around.

I sure would. That's exactly what's happening.
Of course on the surface you're playing the good-hearted liberal that says "let's hear her out the poor woman" but internally you're rubbing your hands together just hoping that this is going to work, that this guy doesn't go through. That's what this is about, not some deep concern over this woman who was probably not as devastated as you think over some teenage shenanigans 35 years ago (as you already know but can't openly say).
This is a game, and you all do it.
Truth is best...and I applaud you for your honesty and bravery.
But keep in mind, when you attempt to shatter peoples illusions, you can expect to get some negative feedback.

That's not why I was applauding him, so stop twisting things...it was because of the real motivation for her being there, and how deep down, everyone knows it's to delay or stop kavanaugh from becoming a Supreme court Justice.
If you're too naive to understand that, then that's your own problem.

Her real motivation for being there could very well be that she genuinely gets sick at the thought of the guy who sexually assaulted her being on the highest court in the land.
And I'm not twisting things. If you weren't applauding the whole damn thing you should have been less lazy and only quoted the part you were talking about. That's YOUR problem.
I'm not saying I know it's true you tool! This is the allegation and this is what is being minimized to "teenage shenanigans".
