I think you're confusing the PS2 with the Gamecube there, 242. But then again, you're kind of a poor man's BR# when it comes to dismissing things as "kiddy".

It also had Resident Evil Remake, RE0, multiple ports of earlier games, Eternal Darkness, among several other M-rated games, though many of them were for other systems as well.
My point is that some people automatically associate the Cube with kiddy, which is normal. Associating the PS2 with kiddy is not.

And labelling any platform "Kiddy" oriented is a facile argument anyway. I think I've said it here before, but some games that people see as "Kiddy" games are actually some of the best games ever, such as Mario, Sonic, et al.

Judge any platform, or anything, really, by the target audience defined by advertising, and chances are you're wrong in 90% of all cases. Also, tarring soccer games,
NfS,
jRPGs,
Devil May Cry,
Guitar Hero and
GTA with the same brush strikes me as about as valid as calling the PC crowd the "average Windows male FPS MMORPG Command & Conquer flight simulator indie games piracy audience".

Just watch various PS2's top 10/20/30 etc. on youtube f.e., you'll see that amount of games with kiddie or teen characters or themes is usually more than 50%. I compare with PC games only.
I don't say they are shit just because they're based on kiddie themes/characters, but I'm personally generally not interested in them.
*I register almost all jRPGs, games like Bully, GTA, Guitar Hero, skate sims, things like that as games for children or teenagers. It does not mean they are bad or that adults can't play them.
