Having seen all this, I must admit, again, that the best quality and healthy food in the world is in Spain. But junk food is on its way. Such a pity. Plastic glasses and plastic bags and plastic forks, ah and food already cooked in a plastic. Bah!
Does anybody remember fish? And olive oil. And table wine cheaper than mineral water? And fresh fruit?

2 tablespoons chili powder
1 teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon coriander
1/2 teaspoon oregano
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Being the aspiring amateur cook (and by that I mean I can only cook a handful of recipes, and only such where the exact amount of everything is given) I am, I've always wondered how people know how much of each seasoning to use. I mean, why exactly 1 teaspoon coriander but only 1/2 oregano, why not the other way around or use the same amount of each? Is that just trial and error or is there also some logical process you guys use when adapting a recipe for other seasonings or just making up a new one? Like, "coriander is weaker than oregano so I'll put more of it and too much oregano makes the meal bitter, so 1/2 teaspoon of the latter and 1 of the former it is" or something like that.
I don't like tacos because while tasty, it's always so messy trying to eat them, due to the hard shells :(. Burritos are so much better due to the soft tortillas. So, giev beef burritos for everyone plx thx

They're either parroting a recipe, it's trial and error, or you've spent enough time in culinary school to know how much of each spice goes with different portions of each ingredient.

Already tried that at the end of last page. Nobody was interested.
We all have you on ignore.

That's a question I've been asking my entire life. Some people seem to know by instinct just how much to put into a recipe. A dash of this to taste, or a sprig of that for flavor. They just
know.
But me? I can follow a recipe to the letter, and still manage to screw it up. All I figure is that I have some culinary learning disability, and I'll never know how to cook.

I'm assuming the irony of quoting someone and then stating that you have them on ignore in the same post isn't lost on you.

You've eaten Tex-Mex, most surely, boyo!
Eat proper Mexican tacos, then we'll see if you don't like'em, whether hard or soft (That's what she said, shut up...).
That includes Mexican burritos.
DDL- That would be intestine tacos. Tasty as sin, son. :)
Anybody want a Sonora burrito (best burritos in Mexico come from the state of Sonora 'cuz that's where they have the best beef)?

I should also add that Mexico is the only place in North America where you can get real Coca-Cola anymore.
...damn. Burritos and tacos with real coke. I am so hungry right now.
